It is a collection of poetry that puts light on problems faced by women and other issues like the effects of war, social taboos like sex discrimination, female foeticide, rapes, depression etc..
Born on 26th April 1992, Shyane Xavier is an Indian poet, who started writing at the age of 9. She enjoys cooking and watching documentaries on wildlife. She lives in Bangalore, Karnataka.
Her keen interest in observing people and the world around her is what inspires her works. Through her poetry, she speaks out about the social issues, the materialism and the growing greed and sins of humanity. Her works, 'The Soldier's Prayer' and 'Arms are Open Wide' were first published in the book "Blossoms of India" by Tangled Web Press, USA in 2010, a contest done for women in India.
