Heaven Within the Earth is more than a debut poetry collection—it's a heartfelt call to action. Written at a time in life when many choose to rest, the poet is instead driven by a deep sense of urgency and responsibility. This powerful anthology explores critical global issues like war, terrorism, climate change, pollution, and ecological destruction, urging readers to reflect and act. Yet, amid these serious themes, the book also celebrates great humanitarians, honors the sacrifices of our ancestors, and uplifts with scenic nature poems, moments of humor, and tender verses on love. It reminds us that we are custodians—not owners—of this planet, and that we have the power to forge a brighter, more compassionate future. Heaven Within the Earth is a poetic journey of awareness, hope, and inspiration, encouraging a global community to unite for peace and preservation. Let us awaken, act, and make Earth a heaven once more.

J Khutia

Janmenjoy Khutia, son of the late Gobind Prasad Khutia and Narmada Khutia, is a devout Hindu and a permanent resident of Salimchak, P.O. Thakurchak, P.S. Belda, District Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal, India. He was born in 1954 into a traditional Hindu family. His father owned a husking machine and had significant landholdings, making theirs a well-established and solvent household. From an early age, Mr. Khutia showed great academic promise, consistently achieving excellent results throughout his school and college years. After graduating from Belda College, he ventured into business. Over time, his expertise led to his appointment as General Manager and Legal Consultant on Forest Rules by a consortium of three district-level sawmill owners. He retired from professional life in 2015. A passionate reader since childhood, Mr. Khutia has been deeply inspired by the works of eminent poets and columnists. Troubled by the growing devastation across nations and the occurrence of famines in various parts of the world, his heart is moved, and he feels compelled to wield his pen in protest against societal evils. He also finds immense joy in traveling to beautiful and scenic places, which deeply touch his heart. His strong sense of spirituality and altruism was nurtured by his parents and continues to guide his worldview and writing.
