Colonel Krishan Kumar Nanda graduated from NDA/IMA and was commissioned into 13 Punjab (Jind) in June 1966 wherein he served for a record span of 23 years. He took active part in 1971 War in the Western Sector with his Unit. He served in Military Operations Dte, AHQ, as Sqn Cdr (instructor) at the NDA and as Dy Comdt and Chief Instructor of Women Officers Training Academy, Gwalior.
