Dr. Dhuni Soren

Dr. Dhuni Soren, a proud Santal tribal from Boarijore village in Jharkhand (formerly Santal Pargana, Bihar), grew up walking barefoot to village schools before attending Dumka Zila School, where his elder brother, Late Lal Mohan Soren, worked. Inspired by a Civil Surgeon’s visits, he dreamed of becoming a doctor. Despite early challenges, including leaving Patna Science College due to a lack of Biology classes, he persevered, rejoining evening classes and eventually graduating from The Prince of Wales Medical College, Patna.
