Vaidyanath Mishra has been writing "Yatri" aka "Nagarjuna" in Hindi as well as Maithili. It is noteworthy that he has also received the award of Sahitya Akademi for his Maithili poems compiled in "Patraheen Naked Gacha". His works of Maithili, especially his poems are in no way inferior to his Hindi poems. Yet almost nil is written on his Maithili poems in Hindi. Whereas the need is that his Hindi poetry should be seen by keeping it against his Maithili poetry. The present book is just a small attempt to fill this gap to some extent. In this sequence, by keeping the Maithili poems of the poet with his Hindi poems, an attempt has been made to see them in a comparative perspective.
