All the thirty stories in the collection, will coax the readers to ignite their meditative and philosophical eye and hold their breath till the very last page of the collection. Co-authored by Ricardo Pérez Torres and Dr. Yogendra Sharma and Dr. Shrimati Das, the book promises to be profound eye-opening journey that questions man’s actions that actually makes one uncomfortable, rather than providing relief.
Meet your authors:
- Shrimati C. Das: A distinguished cultural diplomat, academician, polyglot and translator hailing from Hubballi, India, Dr. Das was appointed as the Director of the Gurudev Tagore Indian Cultural Centre (GTICC), at the Embassy of India in Mexico. Formerly educated in B.A and M.A from University of Calcutta in Sanskrit and Philosophy and hold a Doctorate in Sanskrit and Indian Philosophy from the University of Mysore. She is intensely passionate about about Rabindra Nritya Natya, Indian classical dance, and theatre. She was honoured with the ‘Best Teacher Award’ by the Government of Karnataka and the ‘Mahila Shiromani’ award by the NRI Institute, New Delhi. As the Director of GTICC, Dr. Shrimati Das, encouraged the the development of Indian arts, dance, and cuisine and undertook numerous initiatives to promote Indian culture, language, and heritage across Mexico and Latin America.
- Ricardo Pérez Torres: Born in Mexico, Ricardo Pérez Torres was a student of Journalism from the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and is currently pursuing Social Policies and Projects at the Open and Remote University of Mexico (UnADM). An established name in the space of politics and culture, Torres has lent his voice previously in many political magazines and has been active int his field for the past twenty years. Fostering a deep respect for aesthetics and cultural practices, Ricardo Pérez Torres actively participates in government and private projects.
- Yogendra Sharma: Holding an MA in Hispanic Studies from the University of Delhi and a PhD in Literature (Spanish) from UNAM, Mexico, Dr. Yogendra Sharma’s expertise is not just limited as an academician but extends as a cultural ambassador as well. His profound interest lies in Indian literature, history and mysthology. Apart from being a professor of Hindi and Sanskrit at GTICC, Dr. Sharma also actively participates in organizing cultural events on India, such as Moksha and Dharma, with support from the Government of Mexico City.
