Walnut Publication recently published “The Blouse-Wearer and Other Stories” by Dr. Rajshree Trivedi. Walnut Publication and Dr. Rajshree Trivedi worked collaboratively to bring this book to you. For the same purpose, the Book Release Function of “The Blouse-Wearer and Other Stories” took place on 8th January, 2024. This book launch event brought together educationists and academicians; authors and critics; journalists in English and Indian languages; theatre artists and film actors; poets and singers; women’s rights activists whose deliberations on and off the podium created an intellectually electrifying environment. Carefully curated programme and endearingly compared proceedings made the introduction of the 9 stories of the book mind blowing. Highly gifted and renowned creative personalities conveyed the content of books through storytelling, dance, song, readings of excerpts from the chapters. Dr. Rajshree Trivedi and her family received a warm welcome from the audience. Arundhathi Subramanian, the well-known poet, writer and editor released the book.
Ms. Sanjukta Wagh and Ms. Pranali Kakade danced to the story ‘Baisa’. Ashish Mehta, Nakula Roshan Sahadev, Arjun Tanwar, Trinetra Tiwari presented dramatic readings of the stories. Insia Dariwala shared her experiences of reading ‘I, Tamarind Poodle.’ Prof. Isharat Laljee and Tamasha Acharya spoke about the author and the book. A complimentary copy was provided to all the participants who made the event memorable.
