Mr. Prabhakaran, born on April 23, 1957, in the remote village of Kalliad, Kerala, is a living testament to resilience and determination. As the eldest of eight children in a farmer's family, his educational journey was marked by numerous challenges. Despite these obstacles, he graduated from Calicut University at the age of twenty and later earned an M.A. from Kerala University.

He chose a career in teaching at Chapparapadavu High School, where his passion for literature blossomed. Immersing himself in the works of Shakespeare and other classics, he also began writing stories and articles. He is the author of the novel Upon the Hillock.

Mr. Prabhakaran is married to Rema, and together they have two daughters, Aparna and Nihara, who are currently pursuing their studies.
