Latha Sardar is currently pursuing a PhD and has a decade of teaching experience, during which she has served both as a guest faculty member and a full-time instructor. She has taught a variety of law subjects, with key areas including Constitutional Law, the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Public International Law, and Company Law. The term "BNS" refers to the "Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita," which was introduced in India as part of judicial reforms aimed at replacing certain provisions of the IPC. This initiative focuses on reforming criminal laws to enhance their effectiveness, fairness, and alignment with contemporary values. The BNS seeks to address issues identified in the IPC, such as ambiguous definitions and outdated provisions, striving for a more transparent and streamlined legal framework.
