Prof. (Dr.) K. Prathapan (Vice Chancellor DYP Agriculture and Technical University, Talsande –Kolhapur –Maharashtra-India). He has over three decades of multifaceted experience in Research, Teaching, Administration and Management both in India and Internationally. He holds degrees Tamil Nadu Agriculture University and Kerala Agriculture University, including Doctorate with ICAR fellowship and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Pondicherry Central University. Dr. Prathapan has served as visiting faculty and examiner at esteemed institutions, undergone international training across Taiwan, France, the Netherlands and Germany and contributed as a peer reviewer for numerous national and international scientific journals. With a commendable track record , he’s led diverse projects, served on advisory boards , received accolades as a scientist, teacher and administrator , mentored scholars and managed substantial research and development projects worth over 750 Crore in Kerala’s agriculture and allied sectors. As a respected life member of the Indian Society of Agronomy , Dr. Prathapan currently extends his expertise as an international consultant to various esteemed organizations including Green Climate Fund- South Korea, Guide Point- USA, Arab Healthy Water Association – Egypt etc. Serving as a Board of Management Member of DY Patil Educational Society, Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
