Dr. Dhuni Soren, born in 1935 during the British Raj, hails from a Santal family in the village of Boarijor, Santal Pargana district, Bihar. Despite beginning his education in humble village schools, he eventually attended Zila School in Dumka, where he aspired to become a doctor. However, due to a lack of necessary biology education, he initially pursued farming and established a post office upon returning home. Undeterred, he later resumed his studies, excelling in biology and earning a place at the prestigious Prince of Wales Medical College in Patna. Driven by his passion for aviation, he also obtained a pilot's qualification with a government scholarship. In 1965, he embarked on a higher study journey to England on a scholarship from the government of Bihar. Presently, he resides in England with his grown-up children and grandchildren, regularly engaging in social, cultural, educational, and charitable endeavors, while maintaining a strong connection to his homeland through frequent visits to India.
