Dr. Asif Jeelani, MBBS, MD, is a public health specialist with nine years of experience in multiple international organizations working in the field of public health, like the World Health Organization, the Country Office for India, IPE Global Ltd., and JHPIEGO. He has prior experience working as a surveillance medical officer in the national polio surveillance project in Uttar Pradesh, which was once considered a hotbed for the circulation of the polio virus. He has practical experience with vaccines and the Indian immunisation program, having worked to strengthen the universal immunisation programme in the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. He has authored more than 15 research publications in indexed journals and presented papers at more than eight national and two international conferences.
